We take care of every aspect of your countertop project.

When its time to replace your countertops we offer a turnkey solution. Most “countertop installers” come in after you’ve taken off your old counters and leave you to line up your own plumber, tile installer and electrician.

That’s the difference with RenoBrothers Projects. Our background is in full kitchen and bathroom renovations. We have the experience to do your counters and much more. If you want to add a cabinet, install new appliances or even give you a new island while we’re at it, we’re happy and able to help. Our Trusted Brands

    Got Questions? We’ve got Answers!

You say you’re a one stop shop, what else can you do while you’re replacing our countertops?

We’ve been building kitchens and bathrooms from scratch for years. While we’re on-site replacing countertops you will often find us installing new cabinets doors, putting in new appliances, modifying cabinets, installing toilets, replacing undercabinet lighting or doing a tile backsplash. Again, our goal is to make your project simple, we take care of every detail so you don’t have to.

Why does quartz seem so much more popular than granite?

Quartz is engineered and manufactured to be maintenance free, chip and crack resistant. Natural stone, like granite and marble need to be sealed and maintained to prevent staining. This is an extra step that most homeowners don’t want to have to worry about.

Why do you need to know where my main water shutoff is?

Whenever we are working with your plumbing, even if it’s just changing a faucet we want to know where we can shutoff the water. Often, older valves for your fixtures that haven’t been operated for many years don’t close properly, or leak once they’ve been closed. To replace those valves is no problem but we need to know where the main shutoff is so we can safely do the work!

What’s the difference between 2CM and 3CM quartz?

1 Centimeter. Just kidding, kinda. This is referring to the thickness of the slab of quartz. For most people, the difference between the two is aesthetics, do you want a thinner contemporary edge and sink cutout, or do you want a more substantial looking edge. However, the design of your existing cabinets and kitchen or bathroom can dictate which material you’ll have to go with. When we come to do an estimate we will give you an idea of all your options!

What do I need to do to prepare for you to start working?

All you have to do is make sure that your countertops have nothing on them, and that your sink cabinet is empty and we do the rest. You may empty all of your bottom cabinets if you are concerned about dust, as there is usually a minor amount that drops down during removal.

What brands of sinks and faucets do you offer?

We have access to every brand out there! You can also supply your own sink and faucet if you wish. However, always give us a call before you buy something so we can make sure it will fit properly in your existing or new cabinets, and install well. We recommend and offer quality brands like Blanco, Delta, Riobel, Toto and American Standard.

Is there a big difference in price between different countertop colours?

It depends! Within laminate there are so called standard and premium (or HD) colours. Since laminate is generally lower cost, the spread between these colours might be a few hundred dollars on a whole kitchen. Quartz, however, is another story and a project can fluctuate by a few thousand dollars! Manufacturers generally have their colours grouped into different “levels” or “collections”, if you’re looking for quartz countertops definitely give us a call so we can steer you in the right direction of the perfect colour for your budget.

Do you have “standard” cabinet sizes?

Absolutely not. Every cabinet we make ourselves from scratch to fit seamlessly into your space and minimize fillers while maximizing your space. There are some common dimensions that need to be maintained for your sink or appliances, but we will take care of all those details.

Can you guys remove my old counters?

Absolutely. Our goal is to take care of every aspect of your project. Countertop removal, and getting rid of your old fixtures and appliances is no problem! And this isn’t like those renovation shows on TV, no sledgehammers and dramatic destruction. We remove everything with care to keep the other parts of your kitchen clean and intact and to minimize any mess!

Can I put a hot pot down on my new countertops?

Probably not! As far as quartz countertops go, though they are made of 90% plus natural quartz that remaining percentage is a combination of resins and pigments that may react adversely to heat, though if you did accidentally put something hot down briefly, it would probably be okay. You should put down a trivet under your pots and hot baking sheets. If you’ve got natural granite, putting hot items on your counter shouldn’t be a problem. Lastly, laminate would literally melt in most cases so in no circumstances put anything hot on your nice new laminate countertops!

    Are quartz countertops durable?

Absolutely! The durability of quartz is one of the reasons over 90% of our requests are for quartz countertops. Despite being a manmade product it is comprised of over 90% natural stone. The way that it is manufactured creates a very dense material that is resistant to both cracking and staining with no sealing or maintenance required.

Are Formica countertops and laminate countertops the same thing?

Yes, Formica is actually just a brand of laminate material. You may have also heard laminate referred to as Arborite (again a brand). But no matter what you call it, it’s an excellent budget friendly choice for your next countertop project.
